Four Winds Foundation Ltd provides Indigenous crisis counselling and related services to individuals and families suffering or in distress as a result of a death, suicide, traumatic events or domestic violence. We also provide Indigenous crisis counselling in relation to institutional cases.
The Foundation has a particular focus on Indigenous peoples due to the higher rates of trauma listed above within these communities.
We are based in Melbourne and our counselling and support services are provided in a safe, confidential and open environment to individuals and families. Where needed, we will also assist to align those in need, in other professional services. Our discreet, experienced, professional team and understanding approach enables people to feel comfortable and the Foundation is able to establish a positive relationship with both the individual and or their families. Types of cases where counselling has been offered include;
- Troubled Families (children or youth cases, young or teen families)
- Elderly
- Separation or Divorce cases
- Death, suicidal or traumatic incidences
- Domestic Violence Awareness (Women, Children)
- Psychological illnesses, sickness and health cases
- Institutionalised cases (prisoners, ex-prisoners, pending cases and family support)
