Partners: Scattered Tribes- Healing Through Kinship

Over several months of work and commitment, Scattered Tribes hosted this wonderful possum cloak making journey.

As we can see in the video, it was a wonderful time of sharing, healing, partnership, community and creativity.

Cultural traditions were shared and inter-cultural kinship's were formed.

Director Amy thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated being a part of the journey and it was a wonderful opening night when the finished possum cloak was exhibited, the buzz was deep and full of feeling, all the months of work, all the time and commitment, all the hands that played a part in forming this cloak as one.

Kinship

Scattered Tribes - Healing Through Kinship is a project that brings Aboriginal Elders and intergenerational community members together to make a possum skin cloak and explore representation through photographic portraiture.
